The following features and enhancements were released by Solid Cactus eCommerce on August 18, 2010. If you are a Solid Cactus eCommerce merchant, more information on these changes can also be found in your recently updated user guide.
Store Page Titles customization within Product and Category Pages
Merchants with storefront accounts now have the ability to assign specific page titles for Products and Categories. Product Page titles may be imported using the product import Custom Pages titles (home, about us etc.) and a Global setting for all other pages are supported.
Store URL Redirect Requirement
This release item is to change how the store redirection process works and will prevent Search Engines from seeing duplicate content on multiple pages – boosting the store page rank! Stores with top level domains will always redirect to a single URL using the mystorename.com version or www.mystorename.com version of the URL.
HST Tax
This release item is to re-factor the tax calculation system to include the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) benefiting Canadian merchants. It allows for custom label on each state/provincial tax and the ability to include/exclude the country tax.
Order Details page
This release item is to introduces the new Order Details page which gives 25 price affecting options. It also allows the option to search for Deleted Orders.
Branding
This release allows the use of favicon.ico for Branding usage. Allows upload of .ico file formats to the Media Library and adds “favicon.ico” to the reserved SEO URL’s list.
Merchant Services – e-onlinedata
This release item notes the inclusion of e-onlinedata, formerly known as PowerPay.
Moneris Interac release and certification
Merchants using the Moneris gateway can now offer Interac debit card support to their customers
Autoresponders
Imported clients can be assigned to new or existing autoresponder lists. Lists can be given different opt in messages, allowing for greater segmentation and personalization in email campaigns.
