The following features and enhancements were released by Solid Cactus eCommerce on February 16, 2011. If you are a Solid Cactus eCommerce merchant, more information on these changes can also be found in your recently updated user guide.
Bulk Printing of Invoices and Packing Slips
- This release item is to provide merchants with a batch method of printing sales invoices and packing slips
- Allows merchants to select all orders or select order group and print invoices and packing slips in bulk
- Streamlines current printing process which is to open each order individually, then print
Order Page Rewrite Phase 2
This project release is the second phase of the order details rewrite. It includes updates to the order main report being redone in .net, and various other updates.
- More organized, easier to use order details page
- Tabbing of order information
- Products ordered tab, shipment tracking tab and order notes tab
- New shipping information per item including tracking numbers per item and custom notification information
- New order notes section giving ability to add infinite notes about an order, time stamping and user stamping
- Refunds will still show at bottom of order details
User Input Custom Text in Checkout for Blacklist Message
This project release item is to give our merchants the ability to display custom text explaining why a certain IP/email/credit card has been black listed.
- Merchant can now give custom reason why the IP/email/credit card has been blacklisted
- Merchant gets more control over messaging to end customer
Add Notes to Admin for Blacklists
This project release item is to give our merchants the ability to enter in notes as to why the IP/email/credit card is being blocked.
- Merchant can now make notes when blacklisting an IP/email address or credit card
- Helps merchant keep track in case notified by customer
Expand Allowed Tags on Third Party Integrations Page
This project release item is to allow for the use of the ‘<noscript>’ tag within the third party integration page.
- <noscripts> tags are used to encapsulate tracking codes to as a fall back for when a browser has JavaScript disabled
- Used in scripts for Google AdWords
All sections of third party integrations will now allow the use of noscripts tags
Recurring Capabilities Added to Specific Store Packages – Development
This project release item is to make the recurring products available to SCeC Standard packages.
- Added backend support for SCeC Standard to utilize recurring products
- Menu Items now available to allow merchant to setup a product as a recurring product, and Recurring Orders should be visible from the Orders Dropdown menu
Add Dropdown for Expiration Dates for Credit Card on Checkout page
This release item is to make it so that the credit card expiry dates are drop down lists instead of text boxes.
- Credit card expiry, debit card expiry and debit card start dates modified to use drop down values for MM/YYYY on checkout page
- Will reduce errors made when keying in only two digits in year
- Yields a faster checkout experience for the customer
Manual Send Expiration Notice for Recurring Client’s Credit Card Expiring
Allows merchants to manually send expiration notices to recurring customers.
- Merchant may now send expiry notice for upcoming expiry of customer’s credit card
- Helps merchant to maintain non-interrupted recurring process for customer by advanced notification
- Manual send, therefore merchant may remind customer as they wish
Create Pre-emptive Expiration Notice for Recurring Client’s Credit Card Expiring
This release item notifies our merchants customers before a credit card expires, it is about to expire.
- Customer receives automatic email 14 days prior to credit card expiration
- Helps maintain non-interrupted recurring process for customer by advanced notification of upcoming expiry
- Notice will not be sent if the merchant has opted to not send recurring
Order Notes
This release item is to provide our merchants the ability to enter notes within individual orders.
- Added order notes functionality to order details page
- Infinite number of comments can be added to an order, helping merchants and their staff manage those orders by keeping track of personnel touching the order
- User name captured when making comments and stored with the order notes and date stamped
Multiple Shipping Tracking #’s – Shipping Notifications Per Item
This release item is to provide merchants with the ability to enter separate shipping tracking numbers per product.
- Added multiple shipping tracking numbers to an order, allowing merchant to track individual items shipped separately
- Can select shipper independent of another for an item within the same order
- Notifications changed to summarize tracking numbers and include in email notification to customer
- Added field to allow merchant to put notes in about order i.e. “Your shipment will come in 2 packages”
- Gives merchant better control over orders and order tracking and messaging
Adding Product Images to Cart Contents
Provides merchants the option of displaying a product image for each line item on their Cart Contents page.
- Allows merchant to optionally display a product image on the view cart component of the checkout
- Displays 60 pixel thumbnail
- Display controlled by setting in Setup >> Cart Options
- Default is to NOT display the image
Misc
- API modified to expose when product info in the product API calls.
- Update the user guide link on the third party integration page and improved product attributes.
- Update the emails sent to merchants to include the verbiage ‘Your contact left the following comments:’ before the comments from the contact.
Updates to send a password reset link to users when their account is created by our merchants. This gives them more
control over the users having protected login information.
